The Buxton Festival Foundation was established as a separate charity in 2002 to build an endowment which would contribute to the long-term stability and development of the Buxton International Festival. 

 Since its inception, the Foundation has received large and small donations as well as very generous legacies from friends and supporters of the Buxton International Festival. 

 The Foundation is able to make grants to the Festival to support improvements in the range, diversity and quality of its productions, outreach projects and young artists’ programme.
